In 2011, NorComp introduced a proprietary sealing technology that transformed our standard sized d-sub connector into an IP67 connector able to fully meet the IEC 60529 IP67 requirement for Ingress Protection (IP). These SEAL-D® IP67 connectors utilize a highly innovative internal sealing technology thus eliminating the need to redesign enclosures and PC boards when implementing IP67 design upgrades. The IP67 requirement met means the connection is guaranteed protection against water streaming from powerful jets as well as up to 30 minutes at 1 meter of submersion.

This IP67 connector technology has been a well received innovation industry wide when compared to its predecessor with a much larger footprint that is sealed externally around the outer shell to meet IP requirements. Moreover, once mated - the NorComp SEAL-D® connectors are rated IP68 connectors capable of protecting against longer periods of submersion under a higher pressure.

IP67 Connector Variations

The NorComp IP67 connector product offering is available in both standard density (9 pin, 15 pin, 25 pin, 37 pin), high density (15 pin, 26 pin, 44 pin, 62 pin), and 22 Combo-D variations in configurations in cable mount, vertical mount & right angle connector options. Rounding out the product offering are IP67 backshells, IP67 sealing caps and sealing flanges.
